PROFESSIONAL MARKETING INTERNATIONAL (PMI) - DOES PMI "INFLUENCE" UTAH ATTORNEY GENERAL?

Storesonline, Professional Marketing International (PMI), The Tax Club, Prosper, The Summit Group/Thrive Learning Institute, Mentoring of America, and Iworks have all made very sizable contributions to the election campaign of Utah Attorney General Mark Shurtleff.

Is is possible that these companies are attempting to influence Mr. Shurtleff through large campaign contributions?  Suffice it to say that, if this is true, then this would not be the first time that corporate America successfully influenced political leaders through campaign contributions.  Of course, the aforementioned companies could have "contributed" to other political campaigns in Utah in order to attempt to secure the same "influence" with other high-ranking public officials.

This could potentially explain why the Utah Attorney General's office decided to pass off complaint letters to the Utah Division of Consumer Protection and why no entity in the State of Utah is monitoring the activities of the aforementioned companies, especially after this article in the Salt Lake City News appeared on April 8, 2009.

So, go ahead and read about Mark Shurtleff's campaign contributions.  Then, you decide if the aforementioned companies are trying to buy protection from their massive consumer complaints.
